Sharing lives, love and security. Transforming relationships in changing societies

Traditional structures of relationships, namely of families, are changing. Some reasons for that are societal developments such as migration, increasing and as well decreasing female education standards and women’s employment or changes of political and economic systems. However, what one realizes as release and empowerment, others perceive as loss of safeness and feeling of security or belonging to.

Considering the different social and economic European contexts in which these changes and experiences take place, a lot of questions rise:

- As already noticed the transformations of traditional relationships and communities bear different meanings for women in different European contexts. Any survey of this hast to be very sensible and thoroughly in perception and interpretation.

- Differences also show, that we do not have the same desires and longings for strengthening and salvaging relationships. Do we share same values?

- In which ways can religion and religious values be helpful to follow our desires and live them and in which ways is it not? Which hermeneutical and moral presuppositions do we have to consider?
